Student answer (Band 4.5)

In many counteries lacks of atudents are schoosing other like IT, compture , technnology, rather than study science at universites, wherase some people argue that its a significal problem. Futher more these also effectes on society. such as lack of doctors, people can not get a correct informantions, my opinion its a major prolem people can not selcting study at science.

On one hand, a decad year people almost select to started further studies at secince. But now a day my individual student chooding others filed, rather than choosing science at univeristy, beacuse of the the recents student chosing IT. enginerning, like other filed whch was no relitive with science. For Example, many students choosing to study with other techincal filed to delvelop understaning gain a konwlege to delelop there gols, whith modern techniology, such as IT and other filed oppsite to science.

On the other hand, the students can not schoose to study at sciennce, In my opinion, the students chould not choosing study at science at universities, its cratte a critical issue for society such as, main issue was the lack of doctors, unsufficent knowlage of people about science, In addition, people can not get a real knowlege about natures, however, people suffer from a lag amount of dignosis.

In conclusion, not enough students are choosing to study science at universty, rather than selecting others fields. Actually in my view its a creating a lot of issues. lack of doctore sufficent knowlege, creating a lot problem

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify the broad issue and mention possible effects, including a shortage of doctors and limited public understanding of science. However, the response only minimally answers the question: the causes are not clearly explained, and the effects are listed rather than developed with relevant examples. The discussion of students choosing IT or engineering is difficult to follow and does not explain why these subjects attract them. Your position is also unclear, particularly in “the students should not choosing study at science,” which seems to contradict the concern expressed elsewhere. The response is 239 words, so it is 11 words below the 250-word minimum; the nine words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop a clear cause-and-effect explanation and support it with specific examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion, so there is an attempt to organise the answer. However, the progression between ideas is often unclear, and the paragraph purposes are not consistently distinct: the second body paragraph repeats the claim that students do not choose science before listing effects. Linking phrases such as “Furthermore,” “For Example,” and “In addition” are used, but they do not always show a clear relationship between the ideas that follow. Some sentences are difficult to connect because references and meaning are unclear. To improve, give each paragraph one clear function—causes, then effects—and use linking expressions only where they accurately show the relationship.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “technical,” “modern technology,” “lack of doctors,” and “diagnosis.” However, the range is basic and many spelling and word-choice errors make the message difficult to understand, as in “counteries,” “chooding,” “sufficent knowlage,” and “a lag amount of dignosis.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, such as “other like IT” and “oppsite to science.” These problems sometimes strain the reader’s effort to identify your intended meaning. Build a reliable set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations carefully. For example, distinguish between studying a field and developing a skill, and use precise phrases such as “science-related degree” or “shortage of qualified medical professionals.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast introduced by “On the other hand” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, sentence structures are very limited in control, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries often obscure meaning. Examples include “students can not schoose,” “the students chould not choosing,” and “its cratte a critical issue.” Several clauses are joined without clear grammatical structure, while punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent. Practise forming accurate subject–verb sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “which,” or “as a result.” Proofread each sentence for a clear subject, a correctly formed verb, and appropriate punctuation.
