Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is widely ackhnolowedge that, science stream based study regularly decline day by day as well as in many places fewer students selecting to science based fields in different universities. In this ideology i will elucidate somes reasons about this notion along with its adverse effects on society members in the subsequent paragraphs.
To embark upon this analysis, it is evident that why students gradually decline instrest in the scientific path. To first and foremost is science based subjects are majorly difficults. To frisk it, science based subjects not only hold complex thories but also accounted mathematical calculations along with comprehensive experiment exposure. To cite an epitome London University revelas that, in India many educates showed their academic intrest in other fields rather than medical, main reason is alot of complexcity where other subjects are easist to learn and read. In addition to this another crucial aspect is that, Higher cost of educations as compared to other fields. To elaborate it, science based fileds require higher amount of money investment, due to higher lab insfrastructure as well expensive chemicals demand. As a results, many learns avoid medical and scientifc strategy fileds specially for lack of intrests and expensive study simultaneously.
In the flip side, it is equally important to examine this aspect have certain effects that can not be negelcted. The chief one is, shortage of quilified scientists. To expalin it, by showing lower instrest in these types of fields it highly impact on future prospect as well it also reduces the scientific technologies. To quotes an instance in famous newspaper headline, in United countries lack of scientific evidence and experience to people that highly impact on higher salary jobs. such as micobiologist, hospitals, research fileds etc. Shifiting the focus to the alternative viewpoint is that reduce economic competitivenes. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question by identifying difficulty and cost as causes, then discussing a shortage of scientists and weaker economic and technological progress as effects. These points are relevant, and the examples about laboratory expenses and scientific careers help illustrate them. However, the explanations are often unclear or only briefly developed. For instance, the claim that complex subjects lead students towards other fields needs a clearer explanation of why this choice is common, while the point about “higher salary jobs” does not clearly show how fewer science students affect society. The conclusion also introduces unemployment and healthcare problems without explaining them. Develop each main idea with a clear cause-and-effect link and a specific, credible example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for causes and effects, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “In addition to this” and “To recapitulate” helps show the intended stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some linking phrases are mechanical or do not express the relationship clearly. For example, “In the flip side” and “Shifting the focus to the alternative viewpoint” make the effects paragraph sound as if it is presenting a counterargument, although it is adding another effect. References such as “this aspect” and “this trend” are also vague. Use simpler, more precise transitions and ensure each paragraph develops one main point in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “scientific technologies,” “economic competitiveness,” “lab infrastructure,” and “technological advancement.” This shows an effort to discuss the issue beyond basic terms. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are frequent enough to make some ideas difficult to understand. Phrases such as “science stream based study,” “scientific strategy fields,” and “earning lifestyle” are not natural in this context, while misspellings such as “ackhnolowedge,” “complexcity,” and “competitivenes” reduce clarity. Aim for accurate, familiar academic expressions before using more elaborate wording; for example, refer to “science-related degree programmes” and “career prospects.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “where,” “as,” and “if.” However, control is inconsistent, and many sentences contain errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, or punctuation that make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “To first and foremost is science based subjects are majorly difficults” has a faulty construction, and “If this trend significantly rises in future then this will adversly impact” needs more accurate clause structure and punctuation. Some sentences also combine several ideas without clear grammatical links. Build accuracy with shorter, complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses; check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb and that singular and plural forms agree.
