Student answer (Band 5.0)

It have seen that in alot of nations pupils are showing interest to choose other subjects for there higher studies rather than science, For that there are many effects on the society.

Firsly many of the students are focusing to get admission in other subjets rather than the science which is effecting the development of the overall country. If students are cunitnue there focus on other subjects but not in science it will decline in the number of Doctors, Scients, which over all effect the scoity for the health and developmen.

Secoundly in my personal observation I have notice that there are few resouces in the educational sectory which directly decline the number or students and demotivate them form science. It have seen that students are not showing interest in because of there past studies were not ralivant to the science.

Thirdly there is lake of educational specilist those show path to the pupils about there future and help them to guid about their interest. Many of the students have seen that they are just choosing the subject as there friends have, which turn there mind away from Physics, Chemistry, Medical.

It have observed that now there is lack of medical profesionalist just because of wrong choosing subjects specially in the higher education. which reflect on all the society. I personaly belive that there shoud be coching centers, Career path offices those should be free of chage for all the students. Government should provide latest equipments to the universities, for the students and build interest of stuents in science.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both causes and effects, and your position is broadly clear: limited educational resources, weak career guidance, and peer influence may discourage students from science, while fewer doctors and scientists could harm society. The examples of students following friends and a shortage of medical professionals are relevant. However, the response only partially develops these points. For instance, “few resources” is mentioned without explaining what is missing or how this affects students’ choices, and the link between studying other subjects and national development is asserted rather than illustrated. The discussion also focuses mainly on medicine, leaving other social effects of reduced science participation unexplored. Explain each cause-and-effect link more fully and support it with a specific example to make the response more complete and convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable sequence, using “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Thirdly” to introduce causes before moving to effects and a recommendation. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression is not consistently clear: the first paragraph combines a general introduction with an effect, while the next paragraphs move between causes, personal observation, and consequences. The final paragraph introduces solutions, but the relationship between these and the earlier points could be made clearer. Some references, such as “there” in “there past studies,” are difficult to follow, and repeated phrases such as “It have seen/observed” make the linking feel mechanical. Use distinct paragraphs for the introduction, causes, effects, and conclusion, and connect ideas with clearer references and varied transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “development,” “resources,” “educational,” “career path,” and “universities,” so the main subject is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several words are repeated, particularly “students,” “science,” and “subjects.” Frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices—such as “cunitnue,” “Scients,” “scoity,” and “coching”—make parts of the response difficult to read. Some combinations are also unnatural, for example “wrong choosing subjects” and “show path to the pupils.” Build accuracy with common academic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “career guidance,” “science-related degrees,” and “qualified professionals” would help express your ideas clearly without relying on repeated basic wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, as in “If students are cunitnue there focus on other subjects but not in science it will decline…”. This shows an effort to express cause and effect, but the sentence patterns are often faulty, and errors frequently make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “It have seen,” “there are few resouces … which directly decline,” and “Government should provide latest equipments,” where verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction need attention. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with sentence boundaries unclear in places, such as before “which reflect on all the society.” Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences using clear clauses and correct subject–verb agreement.
