Give reasons for your answer and include relevant examples from your knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
In many countries, students did not choose to study science at university because studying science seems difficult to students, students search for easy fields which take less time to study. One of main reason is also a financial condition beacause science fields are more expensive than others and also we have to give more focus on it to understands things in better way. If we choose and do not give focus to it and we do not learn in proper way so students can't implement to in real life. There are also many others reasons behind that students do not choose science. Mostly students choose art which is comparatively less difficult than science and also today generation find ease and do not choose difficult ways. So, these are the reasons in my opinion. There are many effects of this choice on society. First of all if student do not choose science they also remain unaware of modern technology. With growing time world is becoming global and if we do not know the modern AI tools then we can't grow with upcomig generation and we reamin unemploy too.In medical fields, computer science field, in every field science is becoming necessary and important. Nowadays, knowledge about science is necessary for every students. This choice affects society very badly and unemploment rate also increses in country because nowadays mostly jobs are related to science field. In our village mostly students do not take science because they think science is difficult field and they do not give importance.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you suggest that science is seen as difficult and costly, and you describe possible effects such as limited familiarity with technology and increased unemployment. These points are relevant, but the response only partially develops them. For example, the claim that science courses are “more expensive than others” is not explained or supported, and the effects on society are mostly asserted rather than illustrated. The reference to AI and jobs could be developed with a specific example of how a shortage of science graduates affects healthcare, technology, or innovation. Your view is generally understandable, but a clearer, more sustained explanation of each cause and effect would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the response moves from causes to effects, and phrases such as “First of all” and “In medical fields” signal new points. However, the ideas are crowded together in long blocks, with no clear paragraphing to separate the two parts of the task. Progression is also limited by repeated statements, such as saying that science is difficult and that students avoid difficult fields. Some linking phrases are awkward or do not clearly show how ideas relate, and the final village example is added without being connected to the earlier discussion. Use separate paragraphs for causes and effects, then order each paragraph around one main point with a clear explanation or example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main topic, with relevant terms such as “modern technology,” “AI tools,” “medical fields,” and “unemployment rate.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “science,” “difficult,” and “choose.” Some combinations are unnatural or imprecise, including “give more focus on it,” “grow with upcoming generation,” and “remain unaware of modern technology.” Spelling errors such as “beacause,” “upcomig,” “reamin,” and “unemploment” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling; for example, explain that students may be deterred by the perceived difficulty or cost of science degrees rather than repeating that science is difficult.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, but the range of structures is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in examples such as “students did not choose,” “one of main reason,” and “if student do not choose.” Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “for every students,” while the sentence beginning “If we choose and do not give focus to it” has unclear reference and structure. Missing punctuation, especially around sentence boundaries, makes some passages difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and punctuation before adding further clauses.
