Student answer (Band 6.0)
Professionals with science background plays a major role for any nation's development. There are many countries in the world, where citizens showing curiosity for science domain in universities are significantly low. In this essay I would be sharing multiple view regarding it's causes and effects on the nation and society.
To begin with, every nation provides prime importance to its development. But this is only possible with help of professionals with technical and scientific background. There are many reasons for low interest amongst university students, which include poor infrastructure, orthodox mentality, fear from failure. Countries including Africa have many brilliant minds, but it's poor infrastructure acts as an hurdle to students. Apart from that, many student with orthodox family background are brainwashed. Their family support against studing science subjects add as a blockage. The most important reason for it is the fear from subject. Due to some reasons, students visualise science stream as a difficult subject. Thus it adds to the list of hurdles.
The effect of such problems are enormous. Reduction in number of indigeneous skilled professionals like engineers, doctors, make that nation highly dependent nation. This adds to the cost for importing expensive foreign professionals and technologies. In addition, the country ends up paying high cost in terms of reducing gross domestic product(GDP). There are cases when many countries gets exploited by other. Country like Afghanistan is being highly exploited by USA. F due to low medical students, the country's medical facility gets expensive for it's citizens. As a result, citizens migrated to different country for surgery.
To conclude, I believe that the major causes for lower population of students in field of science is because of low awareness and poor infrastructure. Government must start new initiatives to educate students for the nation's sustainability.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both causes and effects, and your position is clear: low interest is linked to infrastructure, family attitudes and perceived difficulty, while society faces shortages of skilled professionals and greater costs. These are relevant responses to the question. However, the causes are not developed equally: “poor infrastructure” is illustrated only generally, and the point about family attitudes would benefit from explaining why families discourage science study. Some effects are also unclear or insufficiently supported, particularly the claim about Afghanistan being exploited and the link between fewer medical students and citizens migrating for surgery. Explain these connections and use more precise examples to develop the ideas fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for causes and effects, and a conclusion. Sequencing within the causes paragraph is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Apart from that,” and “In addition” help readers recognise the progression. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. However, transitions can feel mechanical, and the relationship between some claims is not made clear—for example, the move from dependence on foreign professionals to GDP reduction. The Afghanistan example also interrupts the effects paragraph’s progression. Use clearer links between cause, consequence and example, and ensure each paragraph develops one connected line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “infrastructure,” “skilled professionals,” “gross domestic product” and “sustainability.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “orthodox mentality” and “indigenous skilled professionals,” although some choices are inaccurate or unnatural. Phrases such as “curiosity for science domain,” “fear from subject” and “adds as a blockage” make parts of the argument less precise. Spelling and word-form errors, including “studing” and “indigeneous,” are also present. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, but more accurate collocations and careful proofreading would make the vocabulary more effective and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “which” and “when,” and most of the argument remains understandable. However, some errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction reduce accuracy. For example, “Professionals with science background plays” has a subject–verb agreement problem and a missing article, while “many student … are brainwashed” has a plural agreement error. In “The effect of such problems are enormous,” the subject and verb do not agree. The sentence beginning “There are cases when many countries gets exploited” also contains agreement problems and an unclear construction. Review agreement and articles, and proofread each sentence for a complete, correctly formed structure.
