Student answer (Band 4.5)
In many countries, fewer students are choosing to study science at university. This trend is mainly caused by the difficulty of science subjects and the limited interest of students in scientific careers. As a result, society may face a shortage of skilled professionals and slower technological development.
Students believe that the study of science subject is extremely challenging. because they think that its wording is tough and it is not easy to be reading or listen, so they fail. For instance, ten class result has announced much of the students have failed in science subject. the reason I remember that they did not study or focus on science subject properly. it has huge number of effects in society. Such as students failed and they do not know about the diseases.
On the other hand, it also creates a significant number of problems in our life. students stuck the diseases. because they do not know that what the problem is this. As a result, the ratio of dead rate is more than the birth rate. However, students do not have any awareness about it. so, students should have any ideas how to compete against it. the reason is that does not study in science subject. For instance, now a days the ratio of dead rate is increase as compared to previous years.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that students do not choosing to study science subject. this problem can create the problem in our country. so, students should study science subject and solve the solution against diseases.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify two possible causes—science being difficult and limited interest in scientific careers—and mention possible effects, including a shortage of professionals and slower technological development in the introduction. However, the body paragraphs do not explain these points clearly or develop them with relevant support. The discussion shifts to students not knowing about diseases and an unsupported claim that deaths exceed births, without showing how fewer university science students would cause this. The conclusion repeats the recommendation to study science rather than summarising a developed answer to both questions. The response is also two words below the required minimum; the eight words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop each cause and social effect with a clear explanation and a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and some linking expressions such as “For instance,” “As a result” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within the body paragraphs is difficult to follow: the first moves from science being challenging to school exam results and then to disease awareness, while the second repeats the disease point without a clear connection to university enrolment. Several transitions, including “On the other hand,” do not signal a genuine contrast. Repeated references to “students” also make connections between ideas unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain its cause or consequence in a logical sequence and use linking phrases only where their relationship is accurate.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses a small set of relevant terms, including “science subjects,” “scientific careers,” “skilled professionals” and “technological development,” so the general topic is recognisable. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear. For example, “students stuck the diseases” does not express the intended idea, and “dead rate” is not a natural way to describe mortality. Phrases such as “solve the solution against diseases” also show difficulty selecting precise expressions. Build a more accurate range for discussing education and social consequences, and check common word partnerships. For example, use “contract a disease,” “death rate” or “mortality rate,” and “develop treatments” rather than the unclear phrases in the response.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences using connectors such as “because” and “as a result,” but sentence structures are mostly simple and errors occur frequently, sometimes making the intended meaning hard to follow. Examples include “Students believe that the study of science subject is extremely challenging. because…” (an incorrectly separated sentence), “the ratio of dead rate is increase,” and “students do not choosing to study science subject.” These show problems with sentence boundaries, verb forms, articles and singular/plural agreement. Capitalisation after full stops is also inconsistent. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and correctly formed verb, then check each sentence for agreement and punctuation. More accurate control of basic structures will make your ideas easier to understand.
