Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, this trend has become increasingly common particularly, amoung young generation that insufficient students are deciding to study in science subjects at universties. This is because they might have interest in other subjects. Although, this shift may impact on society long-term development.
To commence with, there are several reason of not participating in science field. Firsly, studing in science might be challenging for mant learner and this may not be ralevent with their previous education. However, parents expects can also encourage and create a serious issue. For example, a student have not interest in science feild but parents wants to study their offspring in this subject. As a result, students may face many difficulties and can discourage their parent when student will not get higher grade as per his parent expectation. Secondly, they may have interest in other subjects such as, vocational training. This is because studing in vocational course can enhance their employment prospects. If a student learn hand-on experience it would be more flexible for him. As a result, he can find a job like, plumber, electrician, and construction. Although, science play a crucial role in the development of individual and society.
However, It may badly impact on both personal and society development. This is because it can prevent to the development of society. For instance, a student studied in computer science he can develop useful skils such as, artificial intelligence, software programming, and cyber security. As a result, he could transformed his society to modern lifestyle by operating businesses with artificial intelligence, provide doctor advance diagnoses, and prevent from online frauds and privacy concerns to his citizens. In addition, he could build better relationships with other countries giving by giving technology techniques. Furthermore, societies may struggle to develop their country as other advancement countries.
In conclusion, i believe that parents should encourage their children to study in their interesting subjects because having not freedom student to choose their favourite subjects can contribute to depression. Ulternatively, studing in other subjects can take long period to develop country rapidly as other developed countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you suggest that science can seem challenging and that students may prefer vocational subjects, then describe possible effects such as slower technological and national development. The examples involving computer science, AI and cybersecurity help make the societal consequences more concrete. However, the causes are not consistently clear or fully explained: the point about parental expectations is confusing, and the response does not explain broader reasons, such as career prospects or the way science is taught. Some effects are also asserted rather than developed, particularly the claim about relationships with other countries. A clearer central position and fuller explanation of each main cause and effect would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on effects and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “However” and “In addition” help signal the intended relationships between ideas. Nevertheless, progression is sometimes difficult to follow because connections are inaccurate or ideas are placed together without a clear link. For example, “However, science play a crucial role” interrupts the explanation of vocational study, while the paragraph on effects moves from AI to international relationships and then to national development without fully connecting these points. Some linking phrases are repeated or awkwardly used. Organise each paragraph around one clear main idea and use references and transitions that show precisely how examples support it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “employment prospects,” “artificial intelligence,” “software programming” and “cyber security,” which helps communicate the subject matter. There is also some effort to use less common expressions, such as “long-term development” and “vocational training.” However, the range is limited by frequent spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word combinations, including “previous education,” “modern lifestyle” and “technology techniques.” These sometimes make the intended meaning harder to understand. Several words are repeated, especially “student,” “study” and “development.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, and choose more precise terms for the causes and consequences you discuss. This would make your ideas clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “If a student learn hand-on experience it would be more flexible for him” and clauses beginning with “because” and “although.” This shows an effort to vary sentence structure, but many attempts contain errors that can make the reader pause. Examples include subject–verb agreement (“parents expects,” “science play”), verb forms (“he could transformed”) and sentence construction (“parents wants to study their offspring”). Articles, plurals and punctuation are also inconsistent, and some sentences combine ideas without clear grammatical links. Focus first on accurate basic patterns, then extend them: for example, use “If a student gains hands-on experience, they may have more employment options.” Proofreading agreement and verb forms would improve clarity.
