Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both parts of the question: you identify demanding study requirements and costs as causes, then describe possible shortages of doctors, engineers and researchers as social effects. These are relevant points, and the examples about medical emergencies and reliance on other countries help illustrate them. However, the causes and effects are mostly asserted rather than explained in detail, and the claim that science study leads to a “massive disaster” is not clearly supported. The response also contains 218 words, so it does not meet the required minimum of 250; the 10 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each main idea with a clearer explanation and a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for causes and effects, and a conclusion. This helps readers identify the main sections. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the sentence beginning “But the problem that creating students is that” does not clearly connect the study demands to students’ choices, and the conclusion largely repeats the earlier warning. Linking is also limited and occasionally awkward, as in “For example-” and “so they have to depends.” Use clear topic sentences, connect each explanation to its consequence, and vary linking expressions rather than relying mainly on “For example” and “so.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “laboratory work,” “funding,” “researchers,” and “digital technology.” These choices show an effort to discuss university study and society. However, the range is limited and many spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “varity of drgee,” “extra effect,” and “science professsor will be fewer.” Some phrases are also imprecise, including “a massive disaster” and “basic and easy subject.” Build accuracy with topic-specific collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe science courses as “demanding” and explain that students may prefer subjects they perceive as less challenging.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer structures, including “Sometimes getting job in this fields is tough so students trend to choose…” and “there is a medical emmergencies but finding a doctor is tough.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms can make meaning unclear. For instance, “the problem that creating students is that” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “they have to depends” uses an incorrect verb form. The conclusion’s “decline of science degree that students… causing” is also difficult to parse. Practise building complete clauses, checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and punctuating longer sentences.
