Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both causes and effects, identifying the perceived difficulty of science courses and the cost of university study as reasons students may avoid them. The personal example about leaving science because of financial problems is relevant and helps make the second cause concrete. You also mention possible effects, such as reduced innovation and difficulties for society in the future. However, the effects are brief and general, and the claim that society may “go downfall” is not explained with a specific consequence. The final paragraph shifts towards students’ right to choose rather than developing the effects. To strengthen the response, explain how fewer science graduates could affect areas such as healthcare, technology, or economic development, and maintain a clear focus on both parts of the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure: the opening introduces the issue, the body discusses two causes, and the final paragraph returns to science education. Connectors such as “Additionally,” “Another reason,” and “For instance” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression is uneven: effects are inserted into the first cause paragraph, while the final paragraph introduces a new point about university seats and choice without clearly concluding the discussion. Some links are unclear or mechanical, including “However, there is a slightly impact in society,” and several ideas run together within long sentences. Organise the response into distinct sections for causes and effects, and use clear references and transitions to show how each point relates to the question.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “practical,” “innovation,” “technology,” “scholarship,” and “financial problems,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at less common expressions such as “modernization” and “vast course.” However, the range is limited and many word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow: “go downfall range,” “fullfill her student course,” and “a quite difficult course” are examples. Spelling errors such as “Probbaly,” “schloorship,” and “didnot” also reduce clarity. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing university costs, course demands, and social consequences, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, for example, “Another reason is that each student cannot affordable the fee structure at university,” and you use clauses beginning with “when,” “while,” and “so.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction can make the reader work to understand the message. Examples include “There are a lots of countries,” “Every student cannot survive with vast course,” and “Student are not fulled at university.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly where several ideas are joined together. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and complete sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences using one clear main clause and a correctly formed supporting clause.
