Student answer (Band 5.5)
Now a days, there are many students from different country who are get fear in chosing science at university. They think science is very difficult to study, and they cannot do well in science. They think it is impossible to achieve good marks in science, due to this fear they do not choose science.Schools and colleges are responsible for this, because they do not give proper attention to stuudents, and do not give proper equipment relevant ro scince.Students are not taught practically in schools and colleges. Instead, they are encouraged to memorise their lessons by rote. They are put under pressure to memorise everything and achieve good marks. However, they are not taught to understand things practically, which is why they fall behind in this area.
Furthermore, due to this there is a big loss in scientific society, students do not focous on science, and do not take part in Modrenising the society. As a result, our society has failed to make significant progress and is unable to keep up with the advancements in the scientific world. There are many students in our society who want to participate in scientific research, but they are unable to do so because they are not provided with proper guidance and are not given enough attention. For example, my friend is verey intrested in science, buthe is afraid of choosing ,and think that he cannot do well in sience. According to him, he cannot provided with proper equipment and guidance.
In conclusion, government should emphasise on schools and college that they should give proper equipment and guidance ro students for science, that they do well in science.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both causes and effects, identifying fear of difficulty and poor school provision as causes, then linking low participation to slower scientific progress and fewer research opportunities. The example of your friend also supports the point about inadequate guidance. However, the effects are stated broadly: “our society has failed to make significant progress” is not explained with a specific consequence, such as shortages of skilled researchers or reduced innovation. Some ideas also overlap, particularly the repeated points about equipment, attention and guidance. To strengthen the response, explain each cause-and-effect link more fully and use a concrete example to show how fewer science graduates affect society.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: it first discusses why students avoid science, then considers effects on society, and ends with a recommendation. Connectors such as “Furthermore,” “As a result” and “For example” help signal relationships between ideas. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “due to this there is a big loss in scientific society” does not clearly show how the preceding causes lead to the stated effect, and several ideas are crowded into long sentences. Paragraphing would also be clearer if the causes and effects were separated into distinct body paragraphs. Use more precise references and transitions so the progression is easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “memorise,” “scientific research,” “proper guidance” and “advancements,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several phrases are imprecise or unnatural, such as “big loss in scientific society,” “take part in Modernising the society” and “proper equipment relevant to science.” Repetition of “proper,” “science” and “students” also restricts flexibility. Spelling errors—including “chosing,” “focous,” “Modrenising” and “intrested”—are noticeable and sometimes make reading less smooth. Build a wider set of accurate collocations for education, research and social impact, and proofread spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “students who want to participate in scientific research” and a reason clause beginning “which is why.” However, errors are frequent and sometimes make the reader work to understand the meaning. Examples include “students … who are get fear,” “they cannot provided with proper equipment,” and “government should emphasise on schools and college that they should give.” Subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries need attention. Some sentences also join several clauses without clear punctuation, as in the sentence beginning “Furthermore, due to this.” Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each verb against its subject.
