Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you suggest that students avoid science because they see it as difficult and requiring longer study, and you describe social consequences such as shortages of doctors and slower medical and technological research. These are relevant points, and the examples help make the effects more concrete. However, the causes are presented mainly as one broad explanation, and the effects are listed rather than fully explained. For example, the link between choosing subjects perceived as easier and the resulting dependence on foreign expertise could be developed more clearly. The conclusion also introduces “immediate” career-building without clearly connecting it to the earlier discussion. Develop each main idea with a clearer explanation and a specific example to make the response more complete and consistently focused.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on effects, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the two parts of the task. You also use signposting such as “For instance,” “As a result,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because ideas are crowded together and connections are not always explicit. The sentence beginning “The most significant consequent…” is especially unclear, and the conclusion’s relationship between immediate career-building and declining science enrolment is not fully established. Some linking phrases feel mechanical or are used where the logic needs further explanation. Organise each body paragraph around one clear main point, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “science-related,” “practical learning,” “shortage,” “innovate,” and “technological research.” This shows an effort to discuss education and society rather than relying only on very basic terms. However, the range is limited and many word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “comfortness of work,” “skill workered,” “doctord,” and “dependent of foreign countries.” Several topic phrases are also imprecise, such as “local services which helps individuals daily lives.” Build a reliable set of accurate expressions for causes and consequences, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer clear, natural phrases over ambitious wording that does not fit the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You make some attempts to use complex structures, including cause-and-effect clauses with “because,” “as a result,” and “although.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur frequently enough to make several sentences hard to follow. For example, “This trend have many negative effects” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “they have study more years” uses an incorrect verb form. The opening sentence, “In this essay main cause of behind this phenomina … will be discussed,” is also structurally incomplete. Punctuation and spacing around commas are inconsistent, which further affects readability. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking that each sentence has a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
