Student answer (Band 5.5)
In some countries student are less likely to chossing to study science at university. There are many causes associated with these trend, among them having less job in science relevent field and higher cost in science related studies are the main reason. These can have negative impact on economy and society.
First of all. In many country there are less jobs avaiable for young people, espacially science related field. Because people are now focusing on business related fiels, rather than scientific fields. Most of the organization and industries provide jobs related to sales, marketing, finance, accounting and supply chain fields. Also AI has taken most of the IT related jobs in many countries. Many countries are now focusing on business rather than scientific reasearch and invention. Another major cause students are avoiding science related couese because they require higher cost, high effort and much time compared to business and other courses. Also students thinks that science related courses need much effort. In the the end they dont get enough jobs in their relevent field. As a result they avoid science related course in university.
Moreover, It has a negative impact on nations economy, invention and techonology. If one country has less university students on science related field they migh get backdated in terms od techonological invention. Although it has a greater impact on the nations medical sector as well, because of less science student. Another thing is they migh have fewer IT expert and less ingeneers compared to their requirement. It will proberbly make a tend in future, because young generation also likely to follow the elders.
In conclution, I would like to say that, fewer science student in university has a negative impact on many nation. The causes are clear; fewer jobs in relevent field, higher cost are associated with these. Government should lower the science related study cost in university and increase job in these field. so that young people get encouraged to move in these fields.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question and maintain a clear view that low employment prospects and the cost and demands of science courses discourage students. You also identify relevant social effects, including slower technological development and shortages of medical, IT and engineering specialists. These points are on topic, but some are asserted rather than explained: for example, the claim that AI has taken IT jobs is not linked clearly to why this reduces science enrolment, and the effects on medicine are not illustrated. Develop each cause-and-effect link with a brief explanation or example, and distinguish more clearly between effects on the economy and wider society. Your recommendation about government action is relevant, though the response would be stronger if the main ideas were supported more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on effects and a conclusion. This makes the overall line of argument easy to follow. You use linking expressions such as “First of all,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” to signal stages in the discussion. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The sentence beginning “Because people are now focusing on business” is not smoothly attached to the preceding point, and “Another thing” introduces an effect without specifying its relationship to the previous one. The causes paragraph also combines employment, AI and course costs, so clearer grouping and transitions would help. Use pronouns and linking phrases with precise references, and organise each paragraph around a distinct main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “scientific research,” “invention,” “medical sector” and “technological” development, and you attempt to discuss several fields of employment. However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which can make meaning less precise. Examples include “less job,” “science relevant field,” “get backdated” and “make a tend”; these do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also repeated references to “science related” courses and fields, and spelling errors such as “chossing,” “reasearch” and “ingeneers” reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling and word forms, especially in key terms that carry your argument.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If one country has less university students … they might get backdated” and a reason clause beginning “because.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “student are less likely to chossing” has problems with agreement and verb form, while “students thinks” and “they migh” show inconsistent agreement and verb formation. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: “First of all.” is an incomplete transition, and “Another major cause students are avoiding…” lacks a clear grammatical link. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and plural forms, and make sure each sentence has a complete clause. More controlled complex sentences would improve clarity.
