The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
SOUTHWEST AIRPORT
Student answer (Band 6.5)
The maps illustrate the present and future development of an airport.
Overall, It is evident that the airport is predicted to undergo extensive development, including the addition of an ATM, a sky train, a car hire facility and a bag drop. At present, the airport has limited facilities.
In detail, The gates are located in the northern part of the airport, while a check-in area is situated to the west of the security passport control area. A cafe lies in the northern part of the security passport control, whereas a walkway is located on the northern side. In the future, the check-in area is predicted to be replaced by a bag drop, and the cafe is expected to be replaced by the check-in area.
