The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The two maps demonstrate the changes after the reinovations of the airport’s layout.

Overall, it is clear that the site of the airport is modernized and the facilities and the size are expended.

Firstly, now the airport have only 8 gates but after the development this feature will have increase to 18 gates with a new sky train facilitie which was a walkway once. Moreover, the blank area between the gates and security will be a new shopping area for the passengers.

The section for security, passport control and customs is going to remain the same. However, it is predicted that a new features will introduced to the departures area, which is a check-in zone and a new entry door. Moreover, the cafe is going to transferred to the left bottom side of the layout. Next, the arrivals zone will be filled with new facilities which are located in the right side of the map.
