IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

SOUTHWEST AIRPORT

Student answer (Band 7.0)

The following maps compares the changes of current airport infrastructure to the same airport which will be refurbished till next year.

Overall, many new facilities will be added to the airport. However the most prominant changes will include the increased number of gates and a compartment specified for shops next to the entrance corridor.

Moreover, the number of entrances for arrival and departure will also be doubled next year. However a car hire and an atm along with the cafe will also be introduced vertically right next to the doors in arrival's section.

Additionally in departure section a bag drop facility will also be installed on the exact same place where check in counter is currently located. The check counter will be relocated to the right side of this bag drop facility. However the cafe in this compartment will be shifted right next to the entrance gates. Lastly the location of security and passport control counters in both arrival and departure sections will remain exactly same.
