Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response covers the main features of the airport plans, such as the increase in gates and the addition of new facilities. However, the overview is slightly confusing due to grammatical errors, and some details are inaccurate or poorly described, such as the mention of 'sky train' which is not clearly supported by the visual data. While the main trends are identified, the description of the layout changes lacks precision. The report would benefit from a more structured comparison between the 'now' and 'future' states to ensure all key features are highlighted clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the awkward transition 'After, the Development'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track the location of specific features. The progression of ideas is present but hampered by the lack of smooth linking words between sentences. Improving the variety and accuracy of transition signals would significantly enhance the flow of the report.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'Bulid', 'whearas', 'Amenties', 'Refurishment', 'checlk-in', 'facalities') that occasionally impede readability. The range of vocabulary is basic, relying on simple terms like 'shops' and 'cafe' without attempting more precise descriptive language suitable for a formal report. To improve, you should focus on using more varied terminology related to spatial descriptions and airport infrastructure, and pay closer attention to spelling accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('there will be 18 gates are bulid') and incorrect word forms ('the check-in ares replaced into bag drop area'). Punctuation is inconsistent, with missing capital letters and erratic spacing. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty, leading to confusion. The majority of sentences contain errors, which occasionally makes the meaning difficult to follow. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors would be beneficial.
