Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response identifies some key changes, such as the increase in gates and the addition of new facilities like shops and a sky train. However, the report lacks a clear overview or summary of the main trends. The information is presented as a list of features rather than a structured comparison. Furthermore, the response fails to group information logically, and the description of the 'before' and 'after' states is repetitive. To improve, you should provide a clear introductory summary of the overall transformation and group related features (e.g., transport, amenities) into distinct paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response lacks paragraphing, which is essential for a clear report. The text is essentially one long, run-on sentence connected by repetitive use of 'and' and 'after development'. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link ideas; instead, the writing relies on a repetitive structure ('After development there will be...'). To reach a higher band, you must use a variety of linking words (e.g., 'In contrast', 'Furthermore', 'Additionally') and organize your points into logical paragraphs, such as one for infrastructure changes and one for passenger amenities.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'after development' are used excessively, which hinders the flow of the report. There is little attempt to use precise terminology related to airport layouts or map descriptions. You should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary to describe changes, such as 'expanded', 'introduced', 'replaced', or 'upgraded'. The current reliance on basic, informal phrasing makes the report sound more like a casual conversation than an academic task.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The grammar is weak, characterized by long, run-on sentences and a lack of punctuation. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and tense usage (e.g., 'airport is having', 'ATM will also there'). The structure is almost entirely simple or poorly connected compound sentences, with no attempt at complex grammatical structures. To improve, focus on using full stops to separate ideas and ensure that verbs are used correctly in the future tense when describing planned developments.
