Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response covers the main features of the airport redevelopment, such as the increase in gates and the addition of new facilities like the sky train and shops. However, the description is somewhat disorganized and relies on subjective commentary rather than a purely objective summary of the visual data. The attempt to describe the 'senior citizen' experience is not supported by the provided diagram, which is a significant issue in Task 1. The overview is present but lacks clarity. To improve, focus strictly on the visual information provided and ensure the comparison between the 'now' and 'future' states is more structured and accurate.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing. While some cohesive devices like 'meanwhile' and 'on other hand' are used, they are often applied incorrectly or lack the necessary articles and prepositions to connect ideas smoothly. The progression of information is disjointed, particularly in the final paragraph, where the narrative becomes difficult to follow. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of the writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often imprecise. There are frequent errors in word choice, such as 'new innovation going to be add in new consternation' and 'signal gate', which likely refers to a 'single gate'. The spelling errors (e.g., 'airpot', 'coverd') and incorrect word forms hinder the clarity of the message. To achieve a higher band, you should focus on using more precise terminology related to maps and diagrams, such as 'expanded', 'integrated', 'facilities', and 'layout', while ensuring that spelling and word formation are accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, missing articles (e.g., 'in next year'), and incorrect sentence structures. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, making them difficult to parse. For example, 'there are many similarities from current and redevelopment airports are like cafe' is grammatically incorrect. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures, ensuring correct use of articles, and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and pluralization before finalizing your work.
