Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have successfully identified the main features of the airport redevelopment, such as the increase in gates and the addition of new facilities. However, the response lacks a clear, analytical overview. While you mention some changes, the summary is somewhat fragmented. To reach a higher band, ensure you provide a more cohesive summary of the most significant trends (e.g., the expansion of passenger capacity and the addition of service amenities) in the introductory paragraph. Additionally, ensure all comparisons are accurate; for instance, the description of the coffee shop movement is slightly confusing. Overall, you have addressed the task requirements, but the reporting of data could be more precise.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with' and 'Overall', but the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical. There are instances where referencing is unclear, such as 'it will moved in south-east zone', where the subject is ambiguous. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that pronouns clearly refer back to the nouns they replace. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs needs more refinement to achieve a smoother, more natural flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to describe the changes effectively. You use terms like 'blueprints', 'reconstruction', and 'facilities' appropriately. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'security passport control' and 'shops will introduce', which should be 'shops will be introduced'. To improve, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to spatial descriptions and changes, such as 'relocated', 'expanded', or 'transformed'. The current range is sufficient to convey the main points, but more sophisticated lexical choices would enhance the quality of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. For example, 'the major development in airport the number of gates will be increase' contains errors in article usage and verb tense. Other issues include missing auxiliary verbs ('it will moved') and incorrect preposition usage. While your meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement, correct tense usage for future predictions, and ensuring that passive voice constructions are formed correctly (e.g., 'will be increased' instead of 'will be increase').
