Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to summarize the main features of the airport plans, but it fails to provide a clear overview or a structured comparison. While it mentions some changes, such as the increase in gates and the addition of a sky train, the description is fragmented and lacks a professional, analytical tone. The response relies heavily on subjective commentary (e.g., 'the New airpost look is far better') rather than objective reporting of the visual data. Key features like the location of the check-in area or the specific layout changes are overlooked, leading to an incomplete summary of the provided information.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between the 'old' and 'new' airport is abrupt, and the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused (e.g., 'As campare to'). The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a coherent flow, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison of the two maps. The overall organization is present but lacks the sophistication required for higher bands.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors that occasionally impede readability, such as 'demonostrate', 'infrasturcture', 'gatas', 'extanded', and 'sturcture'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to describe the technical aspects of a map or plan effectively. There is a reliance on basic, informal language (e.g., 'look is far better', 'doesn't kown any thing') rather than the precise, descriptive terminology expected in an Academic Task 1 response, such as 'expanded', 'integrated', or 'reconfigured'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('The plan demonostrate', 'facilities has been develpoed'), incorrect article usage, and punctuation errors. Sentence structures are predominantly simple, and attempts at more complex sentences are often marred by errors that affect clarity. For example, 'Sky train facility helps the public to easily approched to the airoplan' contains multiple errors in verb form and word choice. The high frequency of these errors makes the text difficult to read at times.
