The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

SOUTHWEST AIRPORT

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given map depicts regarding an airport present and how it will look after refurbishment next year.

Overall, it is clearly noticeable that various changes taken place in the redevelopment programme.

To commence with, present layout in that arrivals and departures departments is present. One to eight gates are available on the south side with the walkways . Cafe is present on the eastside of the security controls , opposite to that check-in counter is situate.

However, in the in the new layout numerous things will be add after redevelopment. Firstly, gates will double up in the numbers total around18 gets will present in the airport. Walkways transform to the sky train for convenient of passengers. Check-in department moved to the east side and new bag drop department will take place on the west side. New Cafe will open on the west side as well. On the east side new ATM will be install and car hire area is also generate in the redevelopment programme.
