The figure shows the redevelopment site of an airport which will be developed by next year. Image shows that there are many developments will be done for new South-West Airport.
As image shows that in current condition, check-in centre is in the left side of the departure gate and then it will be shifted to the right side. Cafe position will also be changed in departure section from right side to the left side and a new cafe will be added to the arrival section. The walkway will be removed from redevelopment plan. Security, passport control and customs will be remained same for the redevelopment plan.
There are currently 8 gates as of now and will be converted into 18 gates. A new bag drop section will be developed in departure area. As now only single departure gates and single arrival gates is there and after the redevelopment there will be 2 departure, and 2 arrival gates will be developed. For redevelopment plan a new ATM will be installed, a new sky train will be developed in the middle of all the gates, and a taxi area will also be developed near ATM. Some new shops will be opened in between of security and gates area.
To conclude, a huge redevelopment will be there, and it will be very helpful for the passenger to travel through the airport.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response covers the main features of the airport redevelopment, including the changes to gates, facilities, and layout. However, the report lacks a clear overview, which is essential for a Band 7 or higher. While you mention that 'a huge redevelopment will be there', this is a conclusion rather than an overview of the key trends. Some details are slightly inaccurate or confusing, such as the description of the gates increasing from 8 to 18, which is clear, but the description of the arrival/departure gates is somewhat muddled. To improve, ensure you group information logically and provide a clear summary of the most significant changes in the introduction or immediately following it.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'As image shows', 'and then', 'and a'). There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas smoothly. For instance, the transition between the description of the gates and the new facilities is abrupt. Improving the variety of transition signals and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear thematic focus would enhance the flow of the response significantly.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. You rely heavily on basic verbs like 'developed', 'changed', and 'added'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'redevelopment plan' used repeatedly, and 'in between of security and gates area'. To reach a higher band, try to use more specific terminology related to maps and diagrams, such as 'relocated', 'transformed', 'extended', or 'situated'. The range is sufficient to convey the message, but it does not demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'there are many developments will be done' (incorrect verb tense/structure), 'will be remained same' (passive voice error), and 'single departure gates and single arrival gates is there' (subject-verb agreement). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and the correct formation of passive voice, which is essential for describing processes and changes.
