The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

SOUTHWEST AIRPORT

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates the comparision between the site of an airport in present and how it will look after redevelopment in next year.

The picture shows noticeable transformation that will take place in the next year.

At present and in future, the space for departures and arrivals remains the same though there will be a space for car hire, near the doors of arrival in the next year. At present, there is a cafe near departures but, here will be 2 cafes in the future, each one at the departures and arrivals. Then he ATM, bag drop section and shops are not there at the airport but it will be present in the next year. After that, the walkway will be transformed into sky train in next year. Finally the number of gates will increase from 8 to 18.

The conclusion is, the overall basic structure of the southwest airport remains the same, security passport office, passport control custome, departures and arrivals remains the same. Other services like care hire, ATM and bag drop will built in next near. At last, number of cafes and gates are increased.
