Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to summarize the main features of the airport redevelopment, but the information is presented in a fragmented and often confusing manner. While you identify some changes, such as the increase in gates and the addition of new facilities, the description lacks clarity and precision. The comparison between the 'now' and 'after' states is hampered by inaccurate reporting of the layout. For example, stating that 'security passport control have check-in at both diagram' is confusing and does not accurately reflect the visual information provided. To improve, focus on grouping features logically (e.g., terminal expansion, passenger facilities) and ensure that the data reported is factually aligned with the diagrams provided.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear logical progression. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the sentences within the paragraphs do not flow well, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or misused, such as 'whereases' and 'in redeveloped map despite dramatically more'. The referencing is also unclear; for instance, the phrase 'others things are same as first map' is vague and does not effectively link back to the previous information. Improving the use of transition signals and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, which restricts the ability to describe the changes with precision. You rely on basic terms like 'look', 'things', and 'more'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'redeveloped map' instead of 'the proposed plan' or 'the redevelopment'. Some phrases are awkward, such as 'in next years redevelopment purposed'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more specific vocabulary related to maps and urban planning, such as 'expanded', 'relocated', 'integrated', or 'transformed', and ensure that your word choices are contextually appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Airport are more different', 'it's have less facilities') and article usage (e.g., 'in next years', 'in passport control customs areas'). Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors, such as 'whereases the airport after redevelopment considerably add more gates'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions and articles, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
