The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

SOUTHWEST AIRPORT

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The plans illustrate the current situation of Southwest airport and changes after the proposed renovation by next year.

Overall, it is clear that the redevelopment propsal will bring tremendous changes to the airport. The introduction of sky train, ATM, bag drop and car hire facilities are the leading changes in the proposed plan.

The existing departure area will be developed by incorporating a bag drop area too. While the arrival portion will be added an extra cafe, car hire and an ATM, which will be useful to the passengers. The unutilised space after the security passport control will be renovated by setting up the shops.
