The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

SOUTHWEST AIRPORT

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The diagram compare the site of southwest airpot how it look now and after redevelopment.

Overall, it is deeply analyzed that currently the airpot is not too much developed there are only few facilitiesThe number of gates will increse ferom 8 to 18 and the terminal shape will change from recrangular to y shape.

At present there are only 8 gates number 2 to number 8. The entrance is at the bottom with attached to to the control room and tower.There are on two ways, one on each side of the terminal.Also one check in and one cafe available currently.

After the redevelopment the airpot is much bigger after one year.The will have y shape with three arms.There will be atotal 1118 gates the left arm have 7 gates from 2 to 8.the right arm will have 6 10 to 17 and the top part will have more gates.The control tower and the main entrance will remain in the central position but the walk way will be longer to accomodate passenger.
