IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

SOUTHWEST AIRPORT

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The map provides a detail comparison of site of an airport, as it apeared now and how it will subsequently transform for next year.

Overall, it is evident that the area experience the substantial transformation over a year, as several existing features modified, converted, and transformed. Despite of these transformation departure gates, Security passport control, and passport control custom remained its original position.

Initially, first of all looking at left side of plan, check-in was at the uper side corner. Lately, a cafe, Bag drop and check in newely introduced in that area. After this, on the righ side of the construction site,a new car hire reception, ATM machine, and cafe are introduced on the right side corner of a map.

Whereas, new shops are constructed above the security passport control place. However, There was a eight gates in southwest airport and two walkways. Furthermore after the area demolised the gates divided into eighteen new gates and two skytrains are developed in that area.
