The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

SOUTHWEST AIRPORT

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The image illustrates the land of the Southwest airport at present and how it will look after reconstruction next year. While some features are remain the same, the others will be changed.

The placemants of the departures and the arrivals remain the same in the future, but the number of gates will be increased up to 18 with the development. Now, there are more bare spaces in the air port. With the constructions the space will replace with new specified areas.

At present, there is a walkway from gate 1 to gate 4. In the future, it will replace by a sky train. Now, the air port has one cafe located under security passport control and after reconstruction, there will be two cafes under both the security passport control and the passport control customs.

Additionally, the future plan include few new places such as, shops, car hire, ATM, and a bag drop. The airport will larger in size than now in the future.
