IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
SOUTHWEST AIRPORT
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The plan illustrates the site of an airport of present and how it will look after its renovation.
There was a little walkway infront site of airport with 8gates , now which has been changed into a large Y shaped terminal along with sky train with having 18 gates.
There was some space behind the walkaway terminal, but after development a shop has been made in that place.Moreover, there is no further change in security and passport offices.
However, the bag drop system has been shifted at the place of check in and the check in compartment has been moved infront of the bag drop in departure section. Furthermore, the cafe was at the departure axis which is relocated in the eastern section of arrival. Additionaly, a space for car hire has also been located just in front of arrivals.
