Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task only partially. While the writer attempts to compare the present and future layouts of Southwest Airport, the selection of features is somewhat incomplete and lacks a clear, coherent overview of the main changes. Some details are inadequately developed or inaccurate, such as mentioning that 'their will be more entrance or exit on the gate section' and introducing elements not clearly supported by the visual data, such as public transport buses. The expression of position is imprecise in places, and the abrupt ending prevents the response from fully reporting the comprehensive scope of the redevelopment.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is some basic organization with paragraph attempts, but the overall progression of ideas lacks clear cohesion. The relationships between sentences are often disjointed, and cohesive devices are repetitive or inadequately used, such as starting multiple sentences with 'The diagram...'. Paragraphing is disrupted, and referencing is occasionally unclear, making the flow somewhat mechanical and difficult to follow in places. The incomplete conclusion further detracts from the structural unity of the piece.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate for describing a map, with noticeable errors in word choice and spelling that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples include 'demostrates', 'feautre', and 'Additionaly'. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary related to the plans, the lack of precision in collocation and frequent slip-ups restrict the lexical range to a basic level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response shows a limited range of sentence structures, with frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. There are persistent errors with articles, prepositions, and verb forms, such as 'their will be more entrance' instead of 'there will be more entrances', and run-on phrasing. Complex sentences are attempted but are often faulty, and punctuation errors are noticeable throughout the text, culminating in an incomplete final sentence.
