Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You give a relevant overview of the main change, noting that the gates increase from eight to eighteen and that the concourse gains a branching design. You also compare the current and future facilities, so the response addresses the task. However, some important changes are only partly reported: the shops and the relocation of check-in are omitted, and the new café and ATM in Arrivals are not clearly distinguished from facilities already present. The statement that the existing café and check-in “will remain same” is misleading, since the café is repositioned and check-in moves to the inner wall. More precise coverage of these changes would make the summary more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response is organised into a clear introduction, overview, description of the current layout and description of the redevelopment. This gives the reader a logical progression, and phrases such as “at present” and “after redevelopment” help signal the comparison. The main limitation is that some information is grouped too generally: the final paragraph lists several additions and retained facilities without explaining their locations or distinguishing what changes from what stays. The reference to “the existing check-in, cafe” also makes the changes harder to follow because both are altered in the plan. More precise linking and clearer grouping of terminal changes versus concourse changes would strengthen the progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of task-related vocabulary, including “significant expansion,” “branching design,” “facilities” and “transport passengers.” These choices communicate the main developments, and the airport terminology is generally appropriate. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or imprecise, however: “improve inconvenience” does not express the intended benefit, while “gate area” and “larger structure” are less exact than describing an expanded concourse. “Custom” is also used where the facility is “customs,” and “a car hire” is not the natural form for the service or facility. Aim for precise map vocabulary and check common collocations and plural forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including the contrast in “while passport control and customs are available in arrivals section.” Most sentences remain understandable, and the sequence of present and future descriptions is generally clear. Some grammatical errors persist, particularly with articles, agreement and verb forms: “the plan illustrated present the map” needs a correctly formed verb, and “the terminal is divided into departures and arrival areas” has inconsistent number. “Will remain same” also needs an article before “same,” and “in arrivals section” requires an article or possessive determiner. Review these patterns and proofread sentence openings and noun phrases to improve accuracy.
