Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the broad contrast between the airport now and after redevelopment, and mention several relevant additions, including bag drop, an ATM, car hire, a sky train and more gates. However, the overview is vague: “there are lot of changes” does not explain the main structural change, namely the concourse becoming Y-shaped and expanding from 8 to 18 gates. Some details are inaccurate or unclear: the current plan shows one walkway, not “two walkaway paths,” and the future café is added in Arrivals as well as being relocated within Departures. Focus on the most significant changes and describe their locations precisely; avoid unsupported claims such as passengers facing a “hurdle.”

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction and overview to the current layout and then the future plan. This gives the reader a general sense of the comparison. However, progression within paragraphs is often list-like, and the repeated use of “Moreover,” “also” and “In addition” does not always clarify how features relate spatially. The overview also repeats general claims about having “many more facilities” rather than guiding the reader through the main changes. Organise the body around the terminal/concourse and then the facilities in each section, using clear comparisons such as “whereas” or “in contrast.” This would make the sequence easier to follow and reduce repetition.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “redevelopment,” “check-in,” “bag drop,” “ATM” and “car hire,” so the main subject is usually understandable. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or informal for describing a plan. “Walkaway paths” is not the correct term for the walkway, while “airport will have the ATM for the money” is imprecise. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “illtustrates,” “changs,” “limitesd,” “benificial” and “passangers.” Repeated general words such as “many” and “facilities” make the account less precise. Learn location and layout vocabulary, and proofread spelling and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a few longer sentences, for example, “In addition, the walkway will be replaced with sky trains which will be very benificial,” but most sentences use simple patterns, and errors occur frequently. Examples include “there are lot of changs,” “there will also increase in the number of gates,” and “Cafe will also added,” where articles, verb forms or sentence structure are missing or incorrect. Tense and phrasing are also inconsistent in “In now-time, the airport has…” and “place of check-in will be changed.” These errors sometimes make the intended relationship difficult to understand. Practise accurate present and future forms, articles, and complete verb patterns before adding more complex clauses.
