Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main transformation clearly: the concourse becomes Y-shaped, the number of gates rises from eight to eighteen, and a sky train and shops are introduced. You also report several changes to facilities in both terminal sections, so the response addresses the task and includes a useful overview. Some details, however, are inaccurate or too general. The entrances are not shown becoming larger, and the security and passport-control areas are not all unchanged: the new shops are placed between departures and the concourse, rather than between security controls and the gates. The café and check-in relocations are also described imprecisely. More exact comparisons of locations would strengthen an otherwise relevant account.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs describing the concourse and terminal facilities. This gives the reader a broad progression from the overall changes to specific areas. However, some links are mechanical or unclear, including “firstly” and “Though,” and the repeated use of “There will” makes the account feel list-like. The sentence “Only security passport controls area and passport control customs area will remain unchanged” is difficult to interpret and interrupts the flow. Grouping changes by location—concourse, departures, then arrivals—and using clearer references such as “the existing café” would make the relationships between features easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant map vocabulary, including “Y-shaped area,” “gates,” “walkway,” “sky train,” “bag drop,” and “car hire,” which helps communicate the main changes. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “newly introduced.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward: “suffle” is unclear, “upgrade to the medium of reaching” is unnatural, and “main entrance … will be large” does not accurately describe the plan. Spelling errors such as “oposite” and “Caffe” also reduce control. Aim for precise location language and standard collocations, for example “the concourse will be extended” and “a sky train will provide transport between the gates.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including comparisons introduced by “Though” and clauses describing future changes. However, errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction are frequent enough to make some statements awkward or unclear. Examples include “it will witnessed,” “ten more gates will added,” and “There will also an upgrade”; these need forms such as “it will be seen,” “will be added,” and “There will also be an upgrade.” The sentence about the entrances being upgraded also has an unclear grammatical relationship between the subject and the intended change. Practise accurate future passive forms and check each sentence for a complete verb phrase and clear subject.
