SOUTHWEST AIRPORT

The layout illustrates a comparison of current and a year later reconstruction of Southwest airport. Overall, the airport will have various expaned facilities for the passanger, which includes a bad drop, ATM, sky train, car hire and extra gates will be built in.
At present, the layout of airport is too small with limited facility. While entering the departures area which is situated at west-south area, a check-in ticket counter is loacted in west and a cafe for the passangers. After completeing with the tickets, all passanger have to go through a passport control and security checking. Once the checking is completed through the walkway traveler can go to their desginated gate for their flight, is located in the northern side with eight gates.
In the next year, the airport will look huge with more expanded facilites for the passangers. At departures area, a bag drop will be built and the previous position of the cafe and check-in will be exchanged. For the passanger arrivals will have a cafe, ATM and car hire at the east-south area. In contrast, the walkway will be replaced with sky train and the ten more gates will be consrtucted with a shops at the west-north area.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You identify the main transformation clearly: the airport expands, gains additional gates, and adds facilities such as a sky train, shops, bag drop, ATM and car hire. You also compare the current and future arrangements and include relevant details about departures and arrivals. This gives the response a sound overview and covers the main stages. Some points, however, are imprecise or underdeveloped. The café and check-in are not simply exchanged: the café moves to the bottom-left of departures, while check-in moves to the inner wall beside arrivals. The new arrivals café and ATM are on the upper-right wall, not the “east-south area.” Also, the future concourse is Y-shaped, a major feature worth stating explicitly. More precise spatial descriptions would make the account more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall progression: an introduction and overview are followed by a description of the present layout and then the redevelopment. Time markers such as “At present” and “In the next year,” together with “Overall” and “In contrast,” help the reader follow the comparison. This is a coherent arrangement, though some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “After completeing with the tickets” and “Once the checking is completed through the walkway” make the sequence difficult to follow, and the final sentence combines several changes without clearly separating them. Use shorter, more focused sentences and group details by area—for example, departures, arrivals, then the concourse—to make the progression more controlled.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant map vocabulary, including “departures area,” “passport control,” “walkway,” “gates,” and “car hire,” and you attempt a range of descriptive terms such as “situated,” “designated,” and “expanded.” However, spelling errors are noticeable, including “expaned,” “passanger,” “loacted,” and “consrtucted,” and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate. “Bad drop” appears to be a misspelling of “bag drop,” while “expanded facilities” and “the airport will look huge” are less precise than language describing specific additions and extensions. Repeated use of “passengers” and “area” also limits flexibility. More accurate spelling and precise map-related vocabulary would improve clarity and control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which is situated at west-south area” and a time clause beginning “Once the checking is completed.” The main meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in articles, agreement, verb forms and sentence construction remain noticeable. For example, “the layout of airport” needs an article, and “all passanger have to go” has a number-agreement problem. The clause “their designated gate for their flight, is located” is not correctly joined, while “After completeing with the tickets” is an awkward and faulty construction. Work on building complete clauses, checking singular and plural agreement, and using articles consistently. This will make your varied sentence attempts more reliable.
