Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main contrast in gate capacity, noting that the airport changes from “1-8 gates” to “1-18 gates,” and you mention several new facilities. However, the response only partially describes the plans: it does not explain the Y-shaped concourse extension or the central sky train’s location, and it gives little detail about how facilities are rearranged. Some information is inaccurate or unclear: the current plan shows a walkway, not a lift, and the café and check-in locations are not described precisely. The repeated general statements that there will be “many differences” do not replace a clear overview of the most significant changes. Select the major structural changes and compare the present and future layouts directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic division between the airport “Nowadays” and “When airport will redeveloped,” which gives the reader some sense of the two time periods. However, ideas within each section are mostly listed one after another, and there is no clear overall progression from an overview to grouped details. Linking words such as “Also,” “Moreover,” and “So” are repetitive or do not show a precise relationship between points. The long first section also combines several separate features in one run-on sequence, while the final sentences repeat the idea that redevelopment will bring differences. Organise the response into a brief overview followed by separate descriptions of the current and planned layouts, grouping related facilities together.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “gates,” “passport control,” “customs,” “check in,” and “redevelopment,” so the reader can recognise the airport context. However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or repeated, such as “many facilities” and “many differences.” Some word choices do not match the map: “lift” is used for the current walkway, and “walkaway” does not clearly convey the labelled walkway. Spelling and word-form errors, including “thera” and “deveopment,” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of terms for describing locations and changes, such as “is relocated,” “is extended,” and “is situated,” and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
Most sentences rely on simple present or future forms, and attempts to describe more complex relationships are often inaccurate. For example, “the site of an airport show” has subject–verb agreement and article problems, while “When airport will redeveloped” has an incorrect future construction and passive form. There are also errors in articles and prepositions in phrases such as “at right side” and “in the left side,” as well as punctuation problems where sentences run together. These errors sometimes make the intended relationships harder to follow. Practise accurate present-tense descriptions of the existing plan and passive future forms such as “will be added” or “will be relocated,” then use shorter, correctly punctuated sentences before attempting longer ones.
