Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify several major changes, including the expansion from 8 gates to 18, the addition of a sky train and shops, and new facilities in Arrivals. However, the overview is imprecise: “there will be 16 gates” contradicts the plan, which shows 18, and “there is nothing” in Arrivals overlooks the existing passport control and customs. Some changes are also reported inaccurately or incompletely: the café is not simply replaced by bag drop, and Check-in moves to the inner wall rather than disappearing. The response is 149 words, one word below the required minimum. To strengthen the summary, give a clear, accurate overview and describe the main changes to both terminal areas and the concourse more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response follows a broadly understandable sequence, moving from the concourse to Departures, Arrivals, and then a general conclusion. However, it is presented as one continuous paragraph, so the overview and supporting details are not clearly separated. Connections between ideas are often abrupt, as in “Now in airport site…” followed by “Right now in depatures section…”, and repeated use of “after development” makes the progression mechanical. The final list of facilities repeats information rather than developing the comparison. Use separate paragraphs for an overview and the main details, and group related changes together—for example, concourse changes in one section and terminal changes in another—with clearer comparison links.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “gates,” “sky train,” “bag drop,” “ATM,” and “car hire,” so the reader can identify many of the facilities being discussed. However, the range is limited and several phrases are vague or unnatural, such as “there are certain thing that will develop,” “use that space,” and “many new spaces.” Repeated use of “there will be” also reduces precision. Spelling errors such as “developemnt,” “develpment,” “facilties,” and “reliablity” are noticeable and weaken clarity. Aim for accurate map vocabulary and specific verbs such as “be added,” “be relocated,” and “be extended,” while checking spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response mainly uses simple statements and attempts a few comparisons with “but” and “after development.” However, sentence structures are limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “there are certain thing that will develop” has an agreement error, while “After developemnt in palce of walkways it will replace with sky train” lacks a clear grammatical structure and uses an unclear pronoun. “Now in airport site there is are no shops” also contains conflicting verb forms. Practise accurate passive constructions for planned changes, such as “The walkway will be replaced by a sky train,” and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
