Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the broad purpose of the plans and mention several genuine additions, including the sky train, shops, ATM and car hire. However, the main changes are only partly and sometimes inaccurately reported. For example, the walkway is not simply replaced by a sky train: the concourse expands into a Y-shape, and the train runs along its central stem. The claim that the bag drop was in the old airport is incorrect; it is a new feature, while check-in moves from the west wall to the inner wall beside Arrivals. Your overview focuses on easier access and reduced walking, but these benefits are not clearly demonstrated by the plans. To strengthen the response, summarise the expanded gate capacity and key changes to both terminal areas accurately and objectively.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic structure, with an opening, an overview, a paragraph describing changes and a conclusion. This gives the reader some organisation, and phrases such as “To begin with” and “In conclusion” signal stages in the response. However, progression is not consistently clear: the main body moves between the concourse, Departures and Arrivals without a clear spatial or comparative order. Some references are also difficult to follow, such as “the direction was on the left in old direction” and “the direction will changed to check-in.” The conclusion repeats facilities already listed rather than bringing the main comparisons together. Group the information by area or by old-versus-new features, and use clear references to locations to make the sequence easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “Departures,” “Arrivals,” “ATM,” “Car hire” and “shops,” so the reader can recognise several airport features. However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations make the description unclear. For instance, “the direction” does not accurately describe the walkway or concourse, and “provide easy access for everything” is vague. Repetition of “new,” “people” and “provide” also limits precision. Aim to use specific map language such as “concourse,” “gate capacity,” “is located” and “is added,” while avoiding claims about travellers’ feelings that the plans do not show. More precise vocabulary would help you describe locations and changes without relying on general phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple and longer sentences, but control is inconsistent, and errors often make relationships between features difficult to understand. Examples include “how it will looked,” “people faces difficulties,” and “the direction will changed,” where verb forms or agreement are incorrect. The sentence beginning “To begin with” joins several separate changes without clear punctuation, making its meaning hard to track. There are also problems with articles and sentence construction, as in “new development of airport change walkway.” Practise accurate present and future forms for describing plans, and build longer sentences around one clear comparison at a time. More reliable sentence boundaries and verb agreement would make the information easier to follow.
