Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main contrast between the current airport and its planned redevelopment, including the increase from gates 1–8 to 1–18 and the addition of facilities such as a sky train, bag drop, ATM and car hire. However, the overview is vague: “many new changes” does not clearly summarise the major structural expansion or the key changes to the terminal. Some details are inaccurate or unclear, such as suggesting that passport control is in Departures; the plan places it in Arrivals, while security is in Departures. You also do not explain the Y-shaped concourse or the relocation of check-in. To strengthen the response, give a precise overview and describe the most significant changes in their correct locations, rather than listing amenities generally.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the present and future layouts. This helps the reader follow the basic comparison. However, progression within the paragraphs is uneven, and several ideas are joined in long, loosely connected sentences, particularly the description beginning “On the other hand”. Linking phrases such as “Moreover”, “Furthermore” and “However” are used, but some do not show a clear logical relationship between the points. Repetition of “there will” and repeated lists of facilities also make the account feel less organised. Group details by area—concourse, Departures and Arrivals—and use clearer references to show how each area changes.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for describing plans, including “renovation”, “facilities”, “gates”, “bag drop” and “car hire”. This gives you a basic range for the topic, but word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive. For example, “the site of an airport is now had less facilities” and “many changes happened” are not natural ways to describe a plan. “Atm for the community” and “reached at the main point” are also imprecise for this map task. Spelling errors such as “facillities” and “happend” further reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of location and change phrases, such as “is located”, “will be added” and “will be extended”, and check spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, using connectors such as “while”, “which” and “such as”. However, the range is limited in practice because many longer sentences are not controlled, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. Examples include “how it will seems”, “there will had many new changes”, and “there will many changes happend”. The sentence “which helped the person to reached” also mixes tenses and verb forms. These errors sometimes make relationships between features difficult to understand. Practise accurate future forms for planned changes (“will be added”), present forms for the current layout, and shorter sentences with one clear location or comparison in each.
