Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main change—the expansion from 8 to 18 gates—and mention several facilities that are added or moved, so the response is relevant to the plans. However, the comparison is only partial and some details are inaccurate or unclear. For example, the current layout does not show arrivals directly connected to gates 5–8; passport control and customs are in the arrivals area, while the gates are in a separate concourse. The statement that there will be “2 gates for arrivales as well as for departures” is not supported by the plan. You also omit major features such as the Y-shaped concourse and central sky train. A clearer overview and more accurate selection of key changes would make the summary more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response is divided into paragraphs for the current and future layouts, and phrases such as “After the redevelopment” help signal the change in time. However, the information does not progress consistently from an overview to well-organised comparisons. The first paragraph moves between arrivals, gates, departures and the walkway, while the second lists facilities without clearly distinguishing what is added, moved or retained. Some linking phrases, including “Following the straight” and “beside of that,” are difficult to follow, and the repeated use of “on the right side” does not always make the location clear. Grouping details by terminal area and using precise references to the two plans would improve the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “passport control,” “walkway,” “bag drop” and “gates,” and attempt to describe location and change. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the description difficult to understand, such as “redevlopment,” “entery gate,” “arrivales” and “car hiring point.” Some phrases are also imprecise: “smoother experience” is an unsupported interpretation, and “directly connected” does not accurately describe the current layout. Aim for accurate map language and check spelling carefully. Terms such as “concourse,” “extended,” “relocated” and “adjacent to” would help you describe the changes more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a future-time clause beginning “After the redevelopment,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “The diagram given illustrate” and “the current … airport have,” while missing articles affect phrases such as “on the left side of departure gate.” Some longer constructions become difficult to follow, particularly “Following the straight diret security passport control is there it will direct toward…” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, as several ideas are joined without clear separation. Practise accurate present and future forms, articles, and shorter, clearly punctuated sentences before adding more complex structures.
