The maps illustrate the layout of an airport and proposed redevelopment in the next one year.

Overall, ther are several new amenties for passengers introduced within one year whereas, area is also increased and the number of entrance gates became double.

At present, airport is simple building with fewer facilities for travlers like cafeteria, eight entry gates and a chek in. One major difficlty for passengers is walkaway from entrance to the inside of airport building. Airport is small and simple now.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the broad changes: the terminal is enlarged, the gate count rises from eight to eighteen, and an ATM is added. However, the response only partially reports the plans, and several details are inaccurate or too vague. The map shows a sky train, not “a couple of buses,” and the gates are part of an extended Y-shaped concourse rather than an enlarged “entrance area.” Important changes such as shops, bag drop, car hire, and the relocated check-in are omitted. The overview also says the number of entrance gates “became double,” although it increases by more than double. The response is 21 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to describe and compare the main features. Develop the overview and include accurate location changes.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction and overview to the current and future layouts. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited: the present-day description repeats that the airport is “small and simple,” while the final paragraph lists only a few future changes without connecting them clearly. Linking words are sometimes awkward or incorrectly used, as in “whereas, area is also increased” and “while, we eill introduce.” Use clearer transitions such as “By contrast” or “In addition,” and organise details by area—for example, the concourse first, then departures and arrivals. This would make the comparison easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “redevelopment,” “entrance gates,” “ATM,” and “Y,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited, and several word choices or spellings reduce precision: “buses” misidentifies the sky train, “entrance gates” is less accurate than “boarding gates,” and “walkaway” does not clearly describe the walkway. There are also noticeable spelling errors such as “amenties,” “travlers,” “chek,” and “difficlty.” Aim for precise map vocabulary and check spelling carefully. Terms such as “concourse,” “departures area,” “relocated check-in counter,” and “car-hire facility” would help you describe the changes more accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast in “whereas” and a future description beginning “After development.” However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward. For example, “in the next one year” needs a more natural time expression, while “airport is simple building” is missing articles. The overview has faulty punctuation and clause structure in “whereas, area is also increased,” and “we will enlarge … and it will look like Y … while” joins ideas unclearly. There are also tense and agreement problems in “the number … became double.” Practise accurate article use, sentence boundaries, and consistent future forms when describing planned changes.
