Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main change in capacity, from gates 1–8 to 1–18, and mention several relevant additions, including the sky train, shops, bag drop, café, ATM and car hire. However, the comparison is only partly developed: the overview that redevelopment brings “numerous advantages” is general rather than a clear summary of the airport’s major spatial changes. Some details are inaccurate or unclear. For example, the current airport does have a café, and passport control/customs are not simply unchanged in position across both areas. The statement that the current airport has “no facility” on the arrivals side also overlooks its passport control and customs. A more precise overview and clearer descriptions of where facilities move would make the report more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response follows a broadly understandable order, moving from the gates and departures area to arrivals and then the concourse, and phrases such as “On the future airport” and “Other than that” signal comparisons. However, the information is presented as one continuous paragraph, so the overview and supporting details are not clearly separated. Several transitions are awkward or unclear, particularly “After clearing, there is no facility but shops are added,” which makes the location and relationship of the shops difficult to follow. Repeated use of “current airport” and “future airport” also makes the progression feel list-like. Organise the report into a brief overview and two detail paragraphs, and use clearer location-based links between features.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “gates,” “walkway,” “sky train,” “bag drop,” “passport control,” and “customs,” so the reader can identify many airport features. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “facility of convinience,” “cafe on some slight right,” and “care hire.” Spelling errors in “wil,” “facilty,” and “convinience” also reduce precision. Repeating “facility” and “airport” contributes to a basic, repetitive style. Aim for accurate map-description language such as “is located,” “is relocated,” “is added,” and “the concourse is extended,” while checking spelling and choosing specific terms for each feature.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer comparative sentences, for example, “While the location of security passport control is same,” and “Other than that, there is passport control customs on both of the airport.” However, these structures are often incomplete or faulty, and most sentences rely on simple present-tense statements. Errors in articles, agreement, verb forms and sentence boundaries sometimes make relationships unclear: “The following images demonstrates” has subject–verb disagreement, while “a bag drop facilty was add” has an incorrect verb form. The opening sentence also shifts awkwardly between present and future. Practise forming accurate passive constructions for planned changes (“will be added,” “will be relocated”) and use complete, punctuated sentences to express comparisons.
