Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the airport’s redevelopment and mention several relevant changes, including the increase to 18 gates, shops, bag drop, a café, an ATM and car hire. However, the description only partially reports the plans: the current layout is difficult to understand, and key changes are missing or unclear, such as the Y-shaped concourse and central sky train. The overview, “the southwest airport now look has no change but after development has many changed,” does not clearly summarise the main contrast. Some details are also inaccurate or unsupported: “three facility around the building” is vague, and “sigh board” is not shown in the plans. To improve, give a clear overview of the expansion and describe the main locations and changes accurately, comparing the present and future layouts.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response, with an opening, an overview and a sequence marked by “First,” “After that” and “Finally.” These signals show an effort to guide the reader. However, the response does not progress clearly from the current plan to the proposed one: details from different areas run together in long sentences, and phrases such as “eight step enter the lift one step to eight step building” make the sequence hard to follow. Paragraphing is absent, and the final comment about people enjoying the construction does not connect well to the task’s factual summary. Separate the response into paragraphs for the overview, current layout and redevelopment, and use clear location-based links such as “in the departures area” and “by contrast.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “passport control,” “customs,” “check-in,” “bag drop,” “ATM” and “car hire,” which helps identify airport facilities. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms make the meaning unclear, including “eight step,” “facality,” “sigh board” and “newly constuction.” Phrases such as “many new facilities was add” also show difficulty selecting natural expressions for describing changes. Aim for precise map vocabulary and accurate collocations: for example, describe gates as “numbered” or “located along” a concourse, and say facilities “are added” or “are relocated.” Check spelling and word forms carefully, especially for repeated task vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to use sequencing and longer sentence forms, but grammatical control is weak and errors frequently make the layout difficult to interpret. For example, “the southwest airport now look has no change” has problems with word order, agreement and tense, while “there are 18 step to shift the other building” does not form a clear grammatical description. In “many new facilities was add,” the subject and verb do not agree and the passive form is incorrect. Most sentences are joined into long strings without reliable punctuation, and articles and plurals are often missing or inaccurate. Build clearer sentences around one feature at a time, using patterns such as “The concourse will be extended” and “A café is located beside the ATM,” then check tense, agreement and sentence boundaries.
