Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You make a relevant attempt to explain the visit, mentioning a vacation and sightseeing, and you name possible attractions such as a museum, art gallery and library. However, the business purpose is not explained, and the request for your friend’s recommendations is unclear: “I want to see your local…” lists places but does not directly ask what they suggest. The invitation, “please join us,” is also vague and does not specify an activity or time. The response contains 132 words, so it is 18 words below the required minimum; this limits how fully you can address and develop the three points. Add a clear business reason, ask specific questions, and propose a definite outing together.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic sequence from announcing the visit to mentioning sightseeing and inviting your friend, so the reader can identify the general topic. However, ideas are not arranged coherently enough: the shift from “I am on vacation” to “I am coming your city” is unclear, and the sentence about places “which i like the most, the visit” is difficult to follow. Linking phrases such as “This is because” and “that is why” are repeated or do not show a clear relationship between ideas. The ending, “I hope you are enjoying our c,” is incomplete, leaving the letter without a clear closing. Use separate paragraphs for the trip purpose, sightseeing questions and invitation, and connect each idea directly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to travel and sightseeing, including “free time,” “sightseeing,” “museum,” “art gallery” and “beauty of nature.” This gives the letter a basic range suited to its topic. However, spelling and word-choice errors are frequent enough to make some phrases difficult to understand, for example “muesum,” “librery,” “memorable” (written as “memorible”) and “necd eyes.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “found of to sightseeing” and “trip very interesting.” These issues keep the vocabulary from being consistently clear and appropriate. Learn common travel collocations, such as “keen on sightseeing” and “make the trip enjoyable,” and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example with “This is because” and “that is why,” but sentence structures are very limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes distorting meaning. The opening joins two independent clauses with a comma: “I hope you are doing well, I am writing…”. Other examples include “I am on vacation about twenty five days,” “I am coming your city,” and “please join us,” where sentence construction, prepositions or verb forms are not controlled. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, and the final sentence is unfinished. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with conjunctions; check that each sentence has a complete subject and verb and that prepositions fit the pattern.
