Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points: explaining the purpose of the trip, asking for recommendations, and inviting your friend to meet. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of the business trip is a bit repetitive and lacks clarity regarding the nature of the conference. To improve, ensure that your explanations are more concise and focused, allowing more space to elaborate on the invitation and the sightseeing requests, which would make the letter feel more natural and engaging.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, and you have used some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Additionally', and 'Moreover'. However, the use of these connectors is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural in the context of an informal letter. For example, 'Furthermore, we can go for a staycation' feels a bit abrupt. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using more varied linking phrases that sound more conversational, as this is a personal letter to a friend rather than a formal report.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message, but there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice. For example, 'share a important matter to you' should be 'share an important matter with you', and 'machines that helpful' is missing a verb. You also use 'staycation' in a context that might not be accurate, as a staycation usually refers to a holiday spent in one's own home city. Expanding your vocabulary to include more natural collocations for travel and social arrangements would help you reach a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, particularly with articles, prepositions, and sentence structure. Examples include 'a important matter', 'trip to Dubai on next week' (should be 'next week'), and 'there will be so many multinational companies representatives are taking the seminar' (which is a run-on sentence with incorrect verb usage). While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are persistent. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Try to simplify your complex sentences to ensure they are grammatically sound before attempting more advanced structures.
