IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You are planning a business trip to another city. You will have some free time to do some sightseeing while you are there.
 

Write a letter to a friend who lives in the city you will visit. In your letter:
• explain the purpose of the trip.
• ask about things to do and see in the city.
• invite your friend to do something with you during your visit.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Anna,

I hope you are doing well, How have you been? It has been ages since I last saw you, By the way I am currently in Edmonton, Canada my boss asked me to attend some seminar so this is basically a business trip will but I still have today and tomorrow. I was we can catch up?

Do you know some places to go and some pastry that we can try? I know Canada is known for its lake and beautiful nature scenery. We can also check some stores and coffee shop. Do you have any suggestion for places or activities that we can do?

We should also videocall our other friends in that way even if they are not here we can still catch up with them. I know you misses them too. Just planning or thinking of seeing you in a few hours makes in happy it feels like we are in high school again and minding our own lives and carefree. Those were the days.
