I hope you are in good spirits. I am writing to tell you that I am coming next week for a business trip. I have a meeting in your city, and besides, I have some extra days to explore your city.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter covers all three bullet points: the purpose of the trip is explained, you ask for recommendations, and you invite your friend to join you. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the explanation of the business trip is slightly repetitive and confusing, particularly the section regarding the boss's friend and the presentation. While the task is fulfilled, the development of ideas could be more concise and clear to ensure the reader follows the narrative easily. Overall, you have successfully addressed all requirements of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized with a clear opening and closing. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Although', and 'As it is', which help the flow. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Actually, my boss told me...' and 'Although, I heard that...'. Paragraphing is present, but the body paragraph is quite dense. Improving the use of linking words to connect ideas more naturally would enhance the flow. Referencing is generally clear, though the shift between the business context and the personal invitation could be smoother.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to communicate your message effectively. Phrases like 'unforeseen circumstances' and 'in good spirits' are good attempts at more natural language. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'presenting some ideas with him' (should be 'presenting ideas to him') and 'full fill it' (should be 'fulfill it'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over common collocations and phrasal verbs to reach a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'he has decide' (should be 'he has decided'), 'we planed for gandola ride' (should be 'we planned a gondola ride'), and 'I sincerely, request' (unnecessary comma). Additionally, 'I really appreciate' is incomplete; it should be 'I would really appreciate it'. While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, verb tense consistency, and punctuation rules.
