Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to address the core requirements of the prompt. While you mention a business trip, you do not provide any specific details about the purpose of the trip. Furthermore, you fail to ask for recommendations regarding sightseeing or activities in the city, and you do not extend an invitation to your friend to join you. The content is largely composed of generic, repetitive statements about 'bright futures' and 'hard work' rather than the specific task requirements. Additionally, the response is significantly under the 150-word minimum, which severely limits your ability to develop the required ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The letter lacks a logical structure. The ideas are disjointed, and there is no clear progression between sentences. You use very few cohesive devices, and those that are present do not effectively link your thoughts. For example, the transition between discussing your trip and the general comments about people's careers is abrupt and confusing. Paragraphing is absent, which makes the text difficult to follow. To improve, you should organize your letter into clear paragraphs: one for the purpose, one for the request, and one for the invitation.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
Your vocabulary is very limited and repetitive. You rely on basic words like 'good', 'something', and 'people' throughout the letter. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'I sad something' (likely meaning 'I have something to say') and 'get trure' (likely meaning 'come true'). The lack of variety and the frequent misuse of words make it difficult for the reader to understand your intended meaning. You need to expand your vocabulary to include more specific terms related to travel and business to improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are significant issues with verb tense consistency, such as 'I was going to another country' when referring to a future trip, and subject-verb agreement errors like 'Every one say'. Sentence structures are simple and often fragmented or incorrectly constructed, such as 'When I am gone by another country fir work'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and incorrect capitalization. You need to focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for tense accuracy.
