Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.5

The letter clearly covers all three required points. You explain the business purpose by mentioning meetings with your company’s clients, give the length of your stay and available free time, and ask Deepika for recommendations on attractions, local food and shopping. The invitation is also clear: you suggest sightseeing or visiting a restaurant together and express that you have missed seeing her. These details make the message relevant and appropriately personal. To strengthen it further, make the request for advice more specific—for example, ask which sights are practical to visit during your free day—and complete the final request, which currently ends abruptly at “Please let me kno”.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The information follows a clear, sensible progression: you introduce the visit, explain its business purpose, ask for local recommendations, and then invite your friend to join you. Separate paragraphs help the reader identify each stage, and phrases such as “As you know” and “It would be great if” connect ideas naturally. The overall organisation is effective, though some links within sentences are less smooth, particularly “so, I would love” and the long sequence of requests in the third paragraph. The unfinished closing also interrupts the letter’s ending. Use punctuation to separate related requests and add a complete sign-off so the message feels fully finished.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the purpose and friendly tone, including “business meetings,” “tourist attractions,” “local food,” and “go sightseeing.” However, several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “foddie” for “foodie,” “tor coffee” for “for coffee,” and “kn[o]” in the unfinished final line. Some expressions are also less natural, such as “doing well in your life” and “popular restaurant.” Aim for accurate spelling and more idiomatic collocations; for instance, “I hope you’re doing well” and “a well-known restaurant” sound more natural. The range is adequate for this familiar letter, but greater accuracy and variety would make it more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and more complex forms, including “As you live in that city for almost six years” and the conditional request “If there are any famous tourist attractions, please let me know.” Meaning is generally understandable, but errors occur across sentence boundaries, verb forms, articles and punctuation. Examples include “i am” instead of “I am,” “I will be staying their,” and “it been long that i have seen you.” The sentence beginning “It would be great if you can join me” also needs a more suitable verb form. Review capitalisation, apostrophes, and tense choices, and proofread each sentence for a complete, correctly formed clause.
