Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You make a relevant attempt to explain the trip and suggest activities, mentioning sightseeing in Murree, the chair lift, local food, shopping, and a jeep trip towards Nathia Gali. However, the letter only partly fulfils the task: it describes a holiday rather than clearly explaining the purpose of the business trip, and it does not ask Ahmed what he recommends seeing or doing. The invitation is present in “get leaves from your job,” but it is not expressed clearly as a specific plan to do something together. These omissions leave the purpose and requests underdeveloped. State that you are visiting for a work meeting, ask for your friend’s recommendations, and invite him to join you for one named activity.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The ideas are generally related and follow a basic sequence: you introduce the visit, describe possible activities, and close by asking your friend to join you. This gives the reader a simple overall structure. However, the message is presented as one continuous block, and the progression between the business visit, sightseeing plans, and invitation is not always clear. Linking phrases such as “During my free time” or “Would you like to join me?” would make the relationships between ideas easier to follow. The opening and closing are recognisable, but clearer paragraphing and more purposeful transitions would improve the organisation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a basic range of relevant vocabulary, including “beautiful valley,” “chair lift,” “delicious food,” “shopping,” and “road trips,” so the reader can identify the activities you have in mind. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several spelling or word-choice errors make parts of the letter difficult to understand, such as “hooe,” “vomig,” “emjoy,” and “hair a jeep.” Some expressions are also unnatural, including “nature’s relfection” and “take out some time for the beautiful journey.” Choose accurate, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. More precise language for the work purpose and the invitation would also help you communicate the task more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a few connected and complex sentences, for example, “I want to explore Murree in Pakistan as it is a beautiful valley,” and “we will hire a jeep for our road trips and will also move towards Nathia Gali.” Most of the message relies on simple future statements, however, and errors occur frequently. Examples include “I am travelling to u means coming to ur city” and “we will plan our trip accordingly to ur leaves,” where sentence construction and grammatical relationships are unclear. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly at the start of sentences and in the closing. Practise forming clear sentences with accurate verb patterns, articles, and punctuation, then proofread each sentence.
