Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task: describing the parking situation, explaining why it is a problem, and suggesting a solution. Your tone is appropriate for a letter to a landlord, and your purpose is clear from the beginning. To improve, you could expand slightly on the impact of the situation; for example, mentioning how the lack of parking affects your stress levels or safety when arriving home late would add more depth to your ideas. Overall, you have fulfilled the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each serving a specific purpose. You use some cohesive devices such as 'consequently' and 'however' to link your ideas. However, the use of some connectors is slightly mechanical or grammatically awkward, such as 'As i came back... therefore, most of time i struggle'. Improving the flow between sentences by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring they are placed correctly will help your writing feel more natural and cohesive.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You use a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message, such as 'frustrating', 'household chores', and 'reserved parking space'. There are some minor issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'tackling' a problem (usually used for challenges) and 'spent 2 hours' (should be 'spend'). While your vocabulary is adequate for the task, incorporating more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing would help you reach a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an ability to use both simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent errors in basic grammar and punctuation, including inconsistent capitalization (e.g., 'i', 'mr. rohan'), missing articles ('the' before 'parking lot'), and tense inconsistencies ('As i came back' vs 'i have to spent'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall accuracy of your writing. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and capitalization will significantly improve your score.
